 Warriors Way SPORT Camp 2008
This training is specifically targeted to those climbers who want to learn or refine sport climbing skills, improve safety awareness, and gain a heightened degree of mental focus through applying the Warrior's Way program. Triple Crown is a series of bouldering events at three of the premier boulderfields in the Southeast to raise funds for two organizations dedicated to maintaining climbers' access: the Southeastern Climbers' Coalition and The Carolina Climbers' Coalition. The series kicks off in the fall beginning with Hound Ears in Boone, NC on October 4th, moves on to Horse Pens-40 in Steele, AL on November 1st, and then concludes at the Stone Fort in Chattanooga, TN on December 6th.  24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell - 2008

This four-day festival is comprised of thrilling films, panel discussions and award ceremonies that promote the spirit of high mountain adventure sports in a picturesque, active mountain town. Boulder, Colorado's 8th Annual Flagstaff Trash Bash will be happening on Wednesday, September 10th, 2008, and you know it will be raining booty. So mark your calendar, recruit/brainwash some friends, and head up to the Summit to pick up trash, eat dinner, drink beverages, and walk away with the goods. A new two-part miniseries, Everest, set to air on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (www.cbc.ca) on August 31 and September 1, recreates one such fateful expedition. The 3rd annual Mammut Bouldering Championships Season Finale will be on Saturday, August 9th, from 6:30 to 9 pm at the Shilo Inn, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Held during the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Trade Show, the Pro Finals will draw the world’s biggest names in rock climbing to compete for a $10,000 cash purse, the largest purse in U.S. climbing. On July 30 - August 2, 2008 the biggest bouldering event in France — the Tout A Blocs (TAB) — will be kicking off in the town of l'Argentière la bessée and on the beautiful granite boulders of Ailefroide, France. The place looks like a bomb went off. Legs and arms are strewn all over the floor. Sounds grim, but in all actuality, it’s really cool. I’m standing in the middle of the 2008 Extremity Games climbing competition, hosted at Planet Rock in Pontiac, Michigan on Friday July 25th, and things are looking good. |
